Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AdaptCycling's platform, including our website, mobile app, and coaching services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using AdaptCycling, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions herein, you may not use this Service.
1. Service Description
AdaptCycling is an AI-powered cycling coaching platform that connects to your Strava account to analyze your training data, generate personalized training plans, and provide AI-generated coaching feedback. Our Service helps cyclists optimize their training by offering guidance on workouts, performance analysis, and structured planning based on your activity history.
Important:AdaptCycling's coaching feedback and training recommendations are artificial intelligence-generated guidance only. They are not professional medical, physiological, or coaching advice, and should never be treated as such.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use AdaptCycling. If you are under 18, you may only use this Service with the explicit consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. You must also have a valid Strava account and agree to comply with Strava's terms of service in addition to these Terms.
3. Account and Access
Your AdaptCycling account is created and authenticated exclusively through Strava OAuth. Each AdaptCycling account is tied to a single, unique Strava athlete ID. You agree to provide accurate information during the OAuth authentication process and maintain the confidentiality of your Strava credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
AdaptCycling reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or other conduct that we deem harmful or inappropriate.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- • Abuse, overload, or disrupt the AdaptCycling API or platform infrastructure
- • Attempt to scrape, data-mine, or automatically extract data from the Service without authorization
- • Use AdaptCycling to harm, harass, threaten, or defame any person or group
- • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the AI coaching system or any other part of our technology
- • Access the Service through automated means (bots, crawlers) unless explicitly authorized
- • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
5. Strava Data and Privacy
Your Strava activity data and profile information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which you should review carefully. We use your Strava data solely to provide you with personalized coaching feedback and training plans tailored to your individual training history and fitness profile.
AdaptCycling complies with Strava's API Agreement and platform policies. We will not sell, share, or exploit your Strava data for purposes outside of providing the coaching Service to you. For full details on how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
6. AI Coaching Disclaimer
CRITICAL: All training plans, coaching feedback, and performance analysis provided by AdaptCycling are AI-generated and constitute general guidance only. They are not a substitute for professional coaching, medical advice, or physiological assessment from a licensed coach, doctor, or physiotherapist.
You assume full responsibility for your own training decisions and safety. Before beginning any new training program or making significant changes to your training, consult with a qualified healthcare professional, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions, injuries, or concerns about your health.
If you experience pain, injury, illness, or any adverse health effects, stop training immediately and consult a healthcare professional. AdaptCycling is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or health complications arising from your use of the Service or implementation of coaching recommendations.
7. Subscription and Payments
AdaptCycling offers a free trial period, after which access requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Stripe and billed according to the plan you select. You authorize AdaptCycling to charge your payment method for the subscription cost on the dates specified in your account settings.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and no refund will be issued for the current period unless you are within the refund window described below.
Refund Policy: Paid subscriptions are non-refundable, except for refunds prorated and issued within the first 7 days of your initial subscription. To request a refund, contact us at within 7 days of your payment.
AdaptCycling may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new price.
8. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
AdaptCycling shall not be liable for:
- • Physical injuries, accidents, or health complications arising from training, riding, or other physical activities
- • Training outcomes, fitness improvements, or race performance
- • Missed events, training sessions, or schedule changes
- • Loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of your data
- • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures
- • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Your sole remedyfor any issue with the Service is to cease using it. AdaptCycling's total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to AdaptCycling in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
Either you or AdaptCycling may terminate your account and use of the Service at any time, with or without cause and without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You remain liable for any charges incurred prior to termination.
AdaptCycling may terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in conduct we believe to be harmful or inappropriate.
10. Changes to These Terms
AdaptCycling may update or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email (if you have provided one) or through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you disagree with any changes, your sole recourse is to cease using the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California for resolution of any disputes.
